We became colleagues and friends on a FILM set. We came from performing stage magic, pitching "no-hit" All-star softball games in California, and winning the National philosophy essay contest as a youth in Bulgaria. Flash forward to a licensed counselor and make-up artist in the United States. To a flight paramedic in Chicago. To a folk artist woodworker in California (you should see her stunning statues!). To extras casting director on location (Public Enemies, The Straight Story) and Chicago (Chicago Fire, The Killer)
We came together on Chicago Fire, and we haven't looked back.
We are humbled to walk the hallowed grounds of the Not For Profit world, and we can't wait to earn our wings.
We advocate diversity.
We hold a torch to filmmakers and screenwriters.
We shine brightest when giving.

To champion other filmmakers and screenwriters to create inspiring films/scripts and instill the desire to pay it forward with their successes.

We can't wait to see your talent and your performance video!
With the money raised from entries and sponsorships, we will offer monetary prizes to the winners of our annual contest. We will also develop financial assistance grants as we grow to provide filmmakers whose projects include a financial pay-it-forward element.
Above our operating costs, all profits raised through the BABA contest go back out as monetary gifts or donated services.
